This edition records the lowest emancipation rate in the last twenty years: only 14.9% of young people in Spain are emancipated.
The rate of temporary employment among young people increased by 5.8 points during this period, more than employment, so that the precariousness of young people who were working worsened.
The poor working conditions of young people were transferred in the first half of 2021 to access to housing: a young person who wanted to emancipate himself alone would spend, on average, 81.9% of his salary on rent or would have to conform to a maximum tolerable surface area of 29.3 square meters.
